New Photographs!

New work!

Here are several new pieces that I have completed... a couple new collages... paintings and photograph. Collages are extremely interesting to me because they are sometimes difficult to resolve, with so many competing elements, yet can produce exciting results.

Often I take a collage through many stages... slowly adding to a piece and living with the evolutions for a while... before adding more... it is quite a process of visual discrimination and editing of shapes, colors, tones, and ultimately the working final composition.

The one painting of the bicycle parts is now in a National Juried show in Stamford, Connecticut. -- BL

Wow! Everything just got very interesting! This new Pentax camera is so much fun with the microscope setting. Little... just got... huge. Enjoy these photographs. (The assemblage is a new art work entitled...."self portrait".) -- BL
